Anna and Mikolaj were praying together in Anna’s room. They were both on their knees… From time to time Mikolaj looks at her to make sure she’s on her knees and is not goofing around. Every time he looks at her, Anna says:
– Tata, you need to look at the cross!
Maya “cut the cheese” in the car
Maya: purk purk
Iza: who did purk purk?
Tata wasn’t in the car….
We’re definitely operating two languages around here. Sometimes, girls have very strong opinions about which one should be used:
Maya on our way home:
Maya: where’s pumpkin?
Iza: W domku (in the house)
Maya: where’s pumpkin? Domku (House)?
Iza: Tak (yes)
– yes or no….. YES OR NO!!!
Anna was scolding Maya
Iza: Anna, stop please. It’s my job. I’m mama.
Anna: Why? I want to talk just like you.
Anna asked me to do something and followed with “If you don’t do it, I’m going to take your job.”
Anna was wiggling and moving in the church.
Iza: Anna stop dancing
Anna: mama, I’m not dancing! You dance with your leg! (Ty tanczy with nogi)
Anna put stickers all over counter-top in the kitchen.
Mikolaj: who put all of those stickers here?
Anna: It was me, tata… it was an accident
… hmm maybe the first one… but not all 15…
Anna: mama, I’m allergic to pizza.
Anna: because I don’t like it
… explained what “allergic” means… Apparently she’s “allergic” to A LOT of things
Maya and I were out and about running some errands… Whenever we went, Maya kept calling strangers “friends”.
We stopped at the bank, our teller went to the back to complete the transaction.
Maya kept asking: where’s friend?
