Anna had her friend’s birthday party next day
Anna: what if there are only boys there and no girls? Will they stare at me?
Iza: why would they stare?
Anna: because I’m cute
-Maya what did you do in preschool?
– I cried, I played, I had a snack.
Anna: I am very, very, very, very, very little sick.
Maya got sick with sinus (overall stuffiness including some fluid in her ears). She kept pushing tissues into her ears. I asked her what she’s doing?
– mama, my ears are dirty!
Anna has, sometimes, has a difficult time with change. We were about to do something new and we talked about. I asked her if she’s going to cry?
Anna: you never know in the world… What’s going to happen. Sometimes you cry….
Driving with Maya to preschool:
Maya: I want to talk
M: I know what we can do… We can buy some money and then buy pets
I: but we already have Mazzie. You already have a pet.
M: but I like more. More doggies… For Mazzie
Anna would often say things that just make me smile… those are random statements here and there that are just so cute coming from a 6-year old girl.
Anna: go closer, mama, I just want to take a glimpse (while driving by someone’s house and she noticed Fall decorations)
I’m going to explore Africa! (while playing a new game… she was very excited and serious about it)
Begging of preschool were a little bit tough for Maya… Since she cried in the morning day before, on out way to preschool, I asked her:
Iza: Are you going to cry today?
M: Because I like to (bo ja lubie)
Anna was frustrated as she was trying to explain something to Maya and Maya was just not interested in listening. So, Anna started yelling to which Maya with a smile on her face responded:
Ania, calm down!
I found that amusing until she said the same thing when I got upset and raised me voice:
Mama, calm down!
